May 19, 2011 - The Celeste FFA Booster Club dinner and auction was held on Saturday, May 14. The event included a barbecue dinner complete with donations of beans from Ernie's, sausage from PoBoys of Merit, and tea from Chicken Express. Special thanks to Kevin McCaslin for smoking the brisket and to FFA booster club members that helped to serve the delicious meal. The barbeque dinner made over $900 and, along with the silent and live auctions, the booster club brought in over $12,000. The money raised in the auction will benefit FFA students with Hunt County Fair Sale Projects and FFA seniors with scholarships. The Celeste FFA would like to thank everyone that helped to make the auction a huge success and to the public for the tremendous support!
