Madeline fundraiser joining downtown fun

April 14, 2011 - The next Madeline Burke fundraiser will be held on Saturday, May 7 on the Leonard Town Square from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Blandelles, the beloved band of the area, has offered their talent to entertain in hopes local folks will come out to hear them sing and donate to Madeline. Their part of the concert will be from noon to 1:45 p.m. All contributions will go to Madeline. Ratti's Pizza is also roviding pizza to be sold by the slice and iced cold drinks will be on sale. This event will be in addition to the Big Bag of Books Sale, the sidewalk sales by some of the local merchants, a rummage sale for the Chamber to raise funds for the fireworks at The Leonard Picnic, and buggy rides being offered by Bear Creek Country Store.

Once again local businesses will be asked to donate items that can be used to raise money for Madeline. The goal left to raise is $7,000. Items donated will have tickets handed out for each amount donated. Items will be given away between 1:45 and 2 p.m.

Anybody wishing to donate items for the Big Bag of Books Sale may do so by taking them to the library before May 6. Anybody wishing to donate items to the Chamber of Commerce's rummage sale should drop off those items at the Leonard Public Library.
