Jan. 27, 2011 - The First United Methodist Church of Leonard has several upcoming events for all aged family members, and encourage and invite all of those interested to attend.

Marriage Seminar

The First United Methodist Church of Leonard will be offering a DVD Study to begin at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10, titled “Marriage on the Rock”. “Marriage on the Rock” clearly details God’s principles that will turn disillusioned, divorce-bound marriages into satisfying dream relationships.

Society requires years of preparation for almost any significant career endeavor, but demands no real preparation for one of the most crucial undertakings in life: marriage.  In an age of disposable marriage and information overload, where can couples turn for real answers that will make their relationships work?

This is a study you might want to consider even in the “pre” marital stage of your relationships.  Couples about to be married who take the course will be given a certificate and presenting this course certificate at the time of applying for a marriage license, the state will waive the fee. God’s plan is for us to succeed in anything we do, be it in HIS will.

Any couple is invited to attend this study but a commitment is needed by January 31 to assure space. Call Jerry Morris at 469-667-5496 for additional information or to confirm your commitment to this amazing study.

Women's Bible Study

First United Methodist Church will be offering a Women’s Bible Study to start Monday, Feb. 21st at 6:30 p.m. The study will be “Jonah, The Interrupted Life” by Author, Priscilla Schirer.
