Criminal District Attorney Richard Glaser reports that on Thursday, Feb. 23, the Grand Jury met to consider 25 cases, and all but one were true-billed or indicted. The one case was no-billed. So far in 2012, Grand Jurors have returned 55 true bills of indictment. These most recent cases were filed from the following agencies: FCSO - 10, DA’s Office - 5, Bonham PD - 4, DPS - 3, Honey Grove PD - 1, Ladonia PD - 1 and Trenton PD - 1.

It is important to note that an indictment is a formal charge and should not in itself be considered an indication of guilt. All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

The following people were indicted for the criminal offense and range of punishment indicated:

Daniel Glen Edwards, 31, of Leonard - Two counts of intoxicated assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury, a third degree felony.

Jimmy Lynn Tubb, 49, of Leonard - Driving while intoxicated third or more, a third degree felony.

Jessie Varn Woods, 58, of Bailey - Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon - enhanced, a second degree felony carrying a punishment of 5-99 years or life in confinement a fine up to $10,000.

Daniel Dewayne Moncier, 51, of Whitewright - Sex offenders duty to register life/annually, a third degree felony.

Charles Morris Williams, 39, of Whitewright - Theft of material aluminum/bronze/copper/brass valued at under $20,000 - enhanced, a state jail felony carrying a punishment of 2-20 years in confinement and a fine up to $10,000.

Rashad Dwayne Brown, 17, of Bonham - Assault of a family/household member by impeding breath/circulation, a third degree felony.

Christopher O’Neal Frazier, 24, of Bonham - Manufacture or delivery of a penalty group one controlled substance weighing less than one gram, a state jail felony.

Miguel Hernandez, 35, of Bonham - Driving while intoxicated third or more, a third degree felony.

Shelley Elizabeth Hill, 45, of Bonham - Forgery of a financial instrument, a state jail felony.

Allan James Moore, 27, of Bonham - Unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a third degree felony.

Dakoda Patton, 20, of Bonham - Escaping while arrested/confined on a felony, a third degree felony.

Juan Carlos Paz-Canales, 33, of Bonham - One count of delivery of marijuana weighing between 1/4 ounce and five pounds in a drug-free zone, a third degree felony; one count of escaping while arrested/confined on a felony, a third degree felony; and one count of possession of marijuana weighing more than four ounces, but less than five pounds, a state jail felony.

Christopher Wayne Pinkerton, 21, of Bonham - Injury to a child/elderly/disabled with the intent to cause serious bodily injury/mental illness, a first degree felony.

John Ambrose Wagner, 57, of Bonham - Bail jumping and failure to appear on a felony - enhanced, a third degree felony carrying a punishment of 2-20 years in confinement and a fine up to $10,000.

David Williams, 61, of Bonham - Possession of a penalty group one controlled substance in a drug free zone - enhanced, a third degree felony carrying a punishment range of 25-99 years in confinement.

Jeromy Lamonte Brown, 24, of Ladonia - Manufacture or delivery of a penalty group one controlled substance weighing less than one gram in a drug free zone, a third degree felony.

Chris E. Wilburn, 45, of Ladonia - Assault of a family/household member w/ previous conviction, a third degree felony.

William Carl Cook, 45, of Ravenna - Possession of a penalty group one controlled substance weighing less than one gram - enhanced, a state jail felony carrying a penalty of 2-20 years in confinement and a fine up to $10,000.

Antonio Hernandez, 62, of Telephone - Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second degree felony.

Christina Marie Dooley, 30, of Wylie - Bail jumping and failure to appear on a felony, a third degree felony.

Roberta Coffey Starr, 58, of Paris - Possession of a penalty group one controlled substance weighing less than one gram, a state jail felony.

Unless otherwise mentioned above, each count carries a fine up to $10,000 and a confinement range as follows: state jail felony - 180 days to two years; third degree felony - 2-10 years; second degree felony - 2-20 years and first degree felony - 5-99 years or life.

The next regularly scheduled date for the Fannin County Grand Jury to meet is Thursday, March 22, at 8:30 a.m.
