Dear Leonard Graphic,

I want to thank your publication people for running a story on the jury trial that I was faced with after enduring two years of waiting to clear my name.

On June 16 of 2009, I, Charlcene Walker, was arrested and charged with a second degree felony, injury to a child by negligent supervision.

My three-year-old granddaughter was attacked by a pitt bull on my property. The incident was a freak accident that was, in itself, traumatic enough.

The day that the verdict was reached, I contacted the three newspaper offices that had written stories about my arrest. One of them made my arrest the headline front and top news.

The Leonard Graphic was the only publication that gave my innocence the same attention that my arrest was given.

For the professional way that The Leonard Graphic conducted their coverage of my case, and telling the real story, I thank you all.

I will refer The Leonard Graphic for any future stories that are as deserving as mine.

Thank you, thank you and God bless!

Charlcene "Charlie" Swinney Walker a.k.a. Mimi
