Mrs. Carl Lamm Gets Top Recognition For 4H Club Work

Top recognition was received by Mrs. Carl Lamm of Kingston when she attended the 4-H Roundup at College Station last week.

Mrs. Lamm was one of 22 to receive an Adult Leader award for outstanding contribution to the 4-H program. The award was presented by John E. Hutchison, director of the Texas Agricultural Extension Service, at the Friends of 4-H luncheon in the ballroom of the Memorial Student Center.

Awards were presented to adult leaders in each district. I. B. Stroud of Fort Worth was the other winner in the district in which Hunt County represents.

Mrs. Lamm and other winners of adult leader awards were recommended for the honor by the Texas 4-H Recognition committed. She was told by H. E. Burgess, chairman, "the importance of the role of the volunteer adult leader in the 4-H program can not be overemphasized."

An adult leader in the Kingston club for several years, Mrs. Lamm helped to organize the community organization, and her two sons are active in the program. Mr. Lamm also takes a lead in helping to further the club's activities. - Taken from Greenville Herald Banner
