Kenneth McClendon Sells FFA Calf To West Side Grocery and Market

Kenneth Burton McClendon sold his Angus steer to Clarence Evans at West Side Grocery and Market this week.

The calf Kenneth sold weighed 435 pounds when he bought it from F. A. Boutwell October 1, 1960. When he sold it March 6, 1961 it weighed 646 pounds, making a gain of 211 pounds.

During the fattening period, 155 days, the calf was fed 1600 pounds of F.F.A. Special and 10 bales of hay.

Mr. Evans paid 26c per pound for the calf. The beef will be featured at West Side Market this weekend.

Kenneth is a sophomore and son of Mr. and Mrs. C. K. McClendon.
