Graveside services for E.B. Arnwine Kent, age 77 of Leonard, are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 18, at 10 a.m. at the Leonard Cemetery. Charles E. Wrenn will officiate. Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. He passed away on Aug. 15, 2012, at his residence in Leonard.

Kent was born July 13, 1935 in Trenton, the son of Ollie Floyd (John) and Amber Lee Arnwine Kent. He was a graduate of Leonard High School and East Texas State University at Commerce. He served his country as a member of the United States Army. He married Artie Lu Shaw on March 30, 1956 in Durant, Okla. He retired from E-Systems in Greenville as a Director of Planning. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leonard, the Masonic Lodge and he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, being among the first Eagle Scouts from Leonard.

He is survived by his wife, Artie Kent of Leonard; his sons, David Kent of Lake Kiowa and John Kent of Leonard; his daughter, Cindi Kent of Leonard; his sister, Dortha Kent Savage of Leonard; his eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Kent and Bill Kent.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Home Hospice 505 W. Center Street Sherman, Texas 75090.
