Funeral services for Lillie Faye Taylor, age 81 of Blue Ridge, will be held Friday, March 2, at 2 p.m. at the Hurst’s Fielder Baker Chapel in Farmersville with Denny Gorena officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Ridge Cemetery. Family visitation is scheduled for Thursday, March 1, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Farmersville. She passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, in McKinney.

Taylor was born March 22, 1923, in Tom Bean, the daughter of Wesley and Lillie Davis Decker. She married Leo Taylor on Aug. 27, 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1999. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her children, Leo J. Taylor of Leonard, Melba Faye Kinney of Wills Point, Joyce Elaine McDaniel of Kaufman, Darrell Taylor of Florence, Co., Carol Sandifer of Anna, Patricia Shotwell of Kaufman and Troy Taylor of Abilene; brother, Wesley Eugene Decker of Allen; sister, Martha Ellsworth of McKinney; 29 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
