March 3, 2011 - The Fannin County Family Crisis Center had a very successful "You Hold the Key" fundraiser last Saturday. The organization is working on renovating their new building in downtown Bonham for move in, and the dinner and auction was held in part to take care of some of the improvements - estimated at over $100,000.

Second Vice-President Kim Dillard reported Tuesday that between ticket and table sales, donations and the live and silent auction, they profited slightly over $9,000 after expenses were paid. $4,000 was raised from the silent auction alone. One live auction item was a quilt made especially for the event with the You Hold the Key logo emblazoned in the middle.

The event was catered by Marigold Catering out of Leonard and attendees enjoyed pork loin, steamed vegetables, scalloped potatoes, rolls and dessert. Leonard resident Jack Bonds also provided musical entertainment and comical relief.

"I personally would like to commend Leonard and say thank you to those residents who participated," said Dillard. "I was proud to see so many get involved for the cause."
