Music in the Garden attendees entertained by soloist and sibling duet

June 16, 2011 - "The Hicks", local brother and sister team Jerod Hicks and Kristina Nelson, opened the fifth concert week,June 2with a few gospel songs, followed by country favorites; Boondocks and Willie Nelson's On The Road Again, changing things up later with Old Time Rock and Roll.

Guitarist/singer, Tony Garcia later took the stage. Influenced by artists such as Ted Nugent, Van Halen, Tommy Dorsey and Frank Sinatra, his rich voice and love of music came through as he performed favorites; Let Me Down Easy, Kansas City Here I Come, Ain't No Sunshine and Jim Croce's Don't Mess Around With Jim. Bonham's own Glass Gypsy, featuring lead vocalist and guitarist, Danny Glaser, Jeff "JQ" Spiller, lead guitarist and supporting vocalist, Ross Griffith, bass guitarist, and Mike Rowland, drummer and vocalist, close the concert series June 16. Concert sponsors are VPG and Farm Bureau/Sue Taylor.

The Creative Arts Centerhosts the Music in the Garden concert series each spring in the beautiful garden. Locals are invited to bring lawn chairs, relax and enjoy the music.
