May 26, 2011 - 2nd Time Around Thrift store recently moved into their new location at 403 North Main Street. Long time Bonham residents will remember the building as the Leatherwood's Men's Store. This building has been donated for the use of Second Time Around by owners Robert and Virginia Bowen.

Savvy shoppers will find first-rate bargains of all kinds at the Second Time Around Thrift Store. This historical, spacious building offers second-hand furniture, antiques, glassware, shoes, clothing, decorations, small appliances, unusual and one of a kind items. Second Time Around also has the new consignment area for resident's convenience. Find out all the details of the consignment possibilities by stopping in at Second Time Around.

All proceeds from sales go directly into the Student Art and Theater Programs at the Creative Arts Center in Bonham. These classes are not only giving the student tools they can work with now, but opportunities and skills they can take with them the rest of their lives. Young artists in the art classes will have the opportunity to learn about basic art techniques and elements such as line, color, shape and texture. Also, lessons involve art history and art appreciation. The students involved in the performing arts classes gain a solid foundation in theatrics. They learn and apply skills in acting, stage management, script writing and editing, stage makeup, costuming, creating props, designing sets, building self confidence, and team work. This is all hands-on learning! Our performing arts program gives students a place to plug in and a spotlight for showing their talents.

Second Time Around Thrift Store is operated by the Fannin Community Foundation, Inc. and is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. All donations to Second Time Around are tax deductible. They gladly accept re-sellable donations and are especially in need of donations of furniture, computers, etc.
