MAY 5, 2011 - The Fannin County Republican Women have several opportunities this month for residents of our county. On Saturday, May 7, at 1 p.m., winners of the "Get Hooked... Read a Book" contest will be announced at a reception in honor of the eighth grade students who submitted bookmarks for the Literary Awareness Program. The reception is opened to the public and will be held at the Creative Arts Center 200 W. 5th St. in Bonham.

Monday, May 9, is the monthly meeting at 6 p.m. in the Elizabeth May room located inside the American Bank of Texas in Bonham. The speaker for May will be Marsha Lindsey. Lindsey is the Operations Manager for Workforce Solutions and a member of the Fannin Literacy Council. This month's program will be Literacy in Fannin County. The monthly meetings are open to women in the area who wish to be involved or learn more about the Fannin County Republic Women.
