April 28, 2011 - Last Thursday evening, the Fannin County Republican Party hosted Roger Williams, a leading Senatorial candidate, to a wonderful King Ranch Chicken Dinner among a large crowd at the Family Life Center in Bonham.

Soon after meeting Williams, there was no doubt in anyone's mind why he is a leader in endorsements and fundraising for the U.S. Senate, replacing the retiring Kay Bailey Hutchinson.

"One of the things that impressed me the most was his statement on his guide post for making decisions---the Constitution and the Bible," stated Russell Green of Ector.

Roger Williams is a strong conservative and doesn't just talk about the American dream..he has lived it. He is a husband, father, and proud American, and, as a successful businessman, wants to use his experience to create economic jobs and growth and will provide real leadership for our country in these challenging times.

As a former Texas Secretary of State and active in national as well as Texas political campaigns to include George W. Bush and Senator John Cornyn, Williams knows how to get things done. He has served as finance chairman for various campaigns and most recently Chairman of Texas Victory 2008.

Melanie Grammer, President of the Fannin County Republican Women updated everyone on the upcoming activities of the Republican ladies and talked about the 13th Armed Forces Day Celebration to be held May 21 at the Multipurpose Complex. The keynote speaker is Captain Scott O'Grady and his story was depicted in the movie Behind Enemy Lines starring Gene Hackman. Ralph Hall, Rita Fulmer for entertainmentm and dinner by Cappy's is just a sampling of this exciting evening.
