March 24, 2011 - On Saturday, April 2nd, at 1 p.m., the Creative Arts Center (CAC), located at 200 W 5th Street in Bonham, will be transformed into an elegant tea room, hosting the 2nd Annual 4-H Fashion Show and Tea; "Keys to Fashion," benefiting the youth and family services of the CAC and Fannin County Family Crisis Center (FCFCC). Similar to last year's highly successful event, in which over $600 was raised for the CAC and FCFCC, 4-H youth will model fashions they've constructed in their clothing and textiles projects as part of their county fashion show competition, qualifying to participate in the District 4-H Fashion Show later in April.

March 24, 2011 - On Friday March 18, the Crisis Center received a nice surprise. When the doorbell rang, we thought it was a client at the door but it turned out to be Corby Alexander and Bonham Mayor Roy Floyd. They had come to personally present a check to Executive Director Becky Williams.

Donations are a huge part of the Crisis Center budget and always appreciated. Thank you to the City of Bonham for your support.

If you need help or know someone who needs help, you can reach our office at 903-583-7694. As always, for emergencies, the hotline at 903-583-7000 is answered 24 hours a day by trained advocates.

March 24, 2011 - The Texoma Area Chapter of The American Red Cross provides emergency services, shelters, and medications to victims of disasters in Cooke, Grayson and Fannin counties without charge. The Chapter also provides training in CPR, swimming, babysitting classes and shelter operation to name just a few.

To offset the cost of these operations, the Texoma Chapter is holding one of its three major fundraising events April 15-17 in the old J C Penny's building at the Midway Mall in Sherman. The annual garage sale has grown every year due to the generosity of the people of Cooke, Grayson, and Fannin counties. Once again the Red Cross is seeking donations for the upcoming sale.
