March 17, 2011 - Marjorie Denny hosted Coffee Club meeting March 9. Those in attendance were Monica Denny, Frances Reynolds, Melba Compton, Ruby Miller, Lynda Lou Thorp, Judy Hubbard, Mary Ann Hooks, Mary Jane James, Martha Swindall, Barbara Ashworth, Christine Carrington, Sarah Andry and Jo Willa Pierson.

The ladies were served refreshments from gaily decorated tables, then they spent time in fellowship.

Kimberly Zachary Celebrates Third Birthday

Kimberly Nicole Zachary was honored on her third birthday, March 8, in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Zachary of Celeste.

A story book theme was carried out in the decorations. Guests were served cake, ice cream and punch. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Brister, Paul and Aaron of Lewisville; Eunice Brister of Savoy, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Zachary and Tim of Celeste, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Atnip of Leonard.

Elementary celebrates Seuss' 107th birthday

March 10, 2011 - Celeste Elementary pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade classes celebrated the 107th birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel, the world-renowned Dr. Seuss! Students made Dr. Seuss hats to wear, and they were treated to an enormous Dr. Seuss hat made of cupcakes. The kids enjoyed gobbling up the yummy cupcake hat while listening to their teachers read books written by the famous rhyme-maker.
