Sailors express their thanks

E-mail Print PDF

March 3, 2011 - Celeste ISD students gathered back in December to help the Celeste High School Spanish Club and Beta Club pack care packages for the sailors aboard the USS Cape St. George. Students from all campuses worked together to collect needed items to send to the sailors for the holidays. Many students got involved with the project by writing letters to the sailors. Students also sent a large hand-painted "We Ship Love" banner with all the goodies. Upon receiving their care packages, the soldiers decided to send a picture made with the "We Ship Love" banner to thank Celeste students and staff for sending such a thoughtful reminder of home.
