March 31, 2011 - 4-H has scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, April 12, at 5 p.m. in the Leonard High School library. Club President Matthew Weaver will be leading a discussion on different projects available for youth to show in livestock shows for the next school year.

March 31, 2011 - Residents at Leonard Manor got to participate in two special events recently. On Saturday, March 26, members of the Bois d' Arc Creek Cowboy Church came to the home and presented an entertaining program to the residents. They decorated doors and the resident's rooms with flowers, brought bingo prizes and presented a Bible to each one.

March 31, 2011 - Andrea Lanier was recently named the winner of The Leonard Graphic's website contest that ended March 11 and was excited to look at the new recliners at The Furniture Gallery Monday morning. Lanier, whose name was entered in the drawing 20 times from the website contest, received a $400 voucher for the recliner of her choice. - Ava Barlow staff photo

March 24, 2011 - The Leonard Public Library is getting ready for their annual "Big Bag of Books Sale", scheduled for Saturday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Furniture Gallery has donated the bags for the sale this year and the library would like to say a big "thank you" to Rachelle Woodruff and Gaye Doyle for their donation. On the day of the event, those attending may pay a $10 donation and fill the bags with books, audio books, movies, etc. that will be in the sale.
