Felton DeWayne Cash

Felton DeWayne Cash was born on September 26, 1936 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Dovie Mae and William Kermit Cash, the third born of 5 children.  He graduated from Antlers High School in 1955 and married Mickey Frazier, in 1956.  After working as a machinist at Otis Engineering, he opened his own full service Humble station in 1962, and after 16 years, closed the doors of what had become his Exxon service station.  His second career was in the Heating and Air Condition Industry. His second life began on March 27, 1992, when he received a heart transplant at Baylor Medical Center.  He passed away quietly at home surrounded by his family on June 6, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 55 years, Mickey Cash. He was “Dad” to daughters Rhonda Cash-Huggins and her husband Chuck of Denton, TX, and Sarah Cash-Bailey and her husband David Wolfe of Murphy, TX.  He was “Papa” to granddaughters Kiah Bailey, Brooke, Jennifer, and Tiffany Huggins, and, Ashley and Hannah Wolfe; great-grandchildren Alexis, Jordyn, Isaac, Zoey, Kaydence and Braedyn.  He was brother to Jessie Matthews of Lake Forest, CA, Wonda Sleeman of Rockport, TX, and Myrt Cash of Antlers, OK. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many more that were related by love if not by blood, and friends too numerous to count. Visitation will be held Friday June 8th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home at 701 N. Cedar St., Leonard, TX  75452.  Services will be Saturday June 9th at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church at 111Houston Street (corner of Houston and Main), officiated by Rev. Martha Myre and Rev. Willie Johnson, followed by interment at the Celeste Cemetary.   Felton’s legacy was one of deep love and constant laughter.   The family asks that you honor his memory by sharing his legacy.

Memorial services for Antone "Tony" George Prasil, age 65 of Bailey, will be held Saturday, May 19, at 3:00 p.m. at Leonard City Park by the pond. He passed away May 8, 2012, in Tyler.

Prasil was born July 19, 1946 in Oshkosh, Wis. to the late Antone George Prasil, Sr. and Helen Ethel Smith Prasil. He had lived in Bailey since 1986, moving from Irving. He worked as a Fedex driver and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a lifetime member of the American Fisherman's Association, the American Hunter's Association and the American Handyman's Association.

 

Gerry Jordan

Funeral Services for Gerry Jordan, age 75 of Leonard, are scheduled for Saturday, May 12, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Leonard with Pastor Denny Gorena officiating. Burial will follow in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation will be Friday, May 11, from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel in Leonard. Jordan passed away at her residence on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, with Dan, her loving husband of nearly 58 years, by her side.

Theresa "Teri" Lavadda Melton Hass

Funeral Services for Theresa "Teri" Lavadda Melton Hass, age 54 of Van, are scheduled for Saturday, April 15, at 4 p.m. at the New Life Refuge Church/Grove Hill Methodist Church, located at 5471 FM 1553 north of Leonard, with Pastor Jeremy Nolen officiating. Family visitation will be Saturday, April 15, from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Following the visitation and funeral, Hass will be cremated. She passed away at her residence Sunday, April 15, 2012.

 

Douglas Wehmeyer

Funeral services for Douglas Earl Wehmeyer, age 54 of Celeste, are scheduled for Saturday, March 10, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Celeste with Jim Sherwin officiating. Interment will follow at Celeste Hogeye Cemetery. Family visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 9, from 6-8 p.m. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville. Wehmeyer passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at his home.

Wehmeyer was born Aug. 8, 1957, in Houston to Clarence F. Wehmeyer and Francies (Landrum) Wehmeyer. On June 20, 1987, he married Yancy Barton in Lake Jackson. He was a software engineer and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Celeste.
