Senior Spotlight: Heather Blevins

May 26, 2011 - Heather Marie Blevins is the 18-year-old daughter of David Blevins and Amy NeSmith. She is a member of First Baptist Church and has attended Leonard schools eight years. She has been active in FCA, FFA and Beta Club.

Some of Heather's favorite things are as follows: food, Mexican; drink, Coca Cola; color, blue; place, the beach; movie, Goonies; athlete, John Cena; song, Lean on Me; person, mom; and sport, football.

Her favorite thing/memory at LHS is Ms. King's class. Her advice for underclassmen is "Enjoy it while you have it." In her free time she likes to hang out with friends. If she could do anything, she would buy her own island. If she had the power to change anything, she would not change anything. Her pet peeve is two-faced people.

After graduation she plans to attend Grayson County College.

May 26, 2011 - Nathan Andrew Hansen is the 18-year-old son of Troy and Stephanie Murphy. He has attended Leonard schools 12 years.

 

Pirate Play

May 26, 2011 - The first and second graders presented their annual play last Tuesday, with each dressing as a pirate for the part. Field Day Fun

May 26, 2011 - Leonard Elementary Kindergartener Aiden Chesne puts on a plastic fire hat during Field Day last Friday, handed out by Leonard Volunteer Firefighter Billy Wayne Martin. Martin was on hand with the department's First Responder vehicle for the children to see, as well as an ambulance from Bonham Fire Department EMS. The children enjoyed taking turns climbing inside the ambulance for quick tours, in between bouts of drizzling rain.

Spring Sing

May 26, 2011 - Students in the fourth through eighth grades participated in the first ever Spring Sing at Leonard ISD last week. The students are choir members and were encouraged to get in small groups and put together performances for the event.
