March 10, 2011 - The Leonard ISD school trustees met on Monday, March 7, at 6 p.m. in the Administration building to discuss the Texas Education Agency weather waiver that the district is filing due to the February snowstorms and subsequent school days that were canceled.

March 3, 2011 - Out of 138 competitors that lifted in last Saturday's regional powerlifting meet at Leonard High School, two Leonard girls stood out above many others and earned their spot in the Texas High School Powerlifting Association's state meet in Corpus Christi on March 19. Senior Cadi Grantland and junior April Jones both pulled out first place wins in their weight classes - and Jones' event set a regional record on the way.

March 3, 2011 - LHS golfers made great strides Monday, shaving multiple strokes off individual and team scores in the cold wind at the Cooper/Caddo invitational at Stone River Golf Club.

The Tigers finished fifth in the standings at 385, only one stroke out of fourth place. That marked an improvement of 35 strokes from last week's season opener at Tanglewood in Pottsboro.

March 3, 2011 - James and Sheri Watson sign their names on the banner to accept Rachel's Challenge at last Thursday's community event. Parents and grandparents attending - which filled the room - were encouraged to find their child's or grandchild's signature on the banner from earlier in the day and place their John Hancock next to it to show their support as a family. March 3, 2011 - The Leonard High School tennis team competed in the Bonham Tennis Tournament on Feb. 24 and 25. Rylee Rushing (far left) brought home a second place medal in the girl's singles. Taylor Bishop and Max Scoggins (to right of Rushing) placed third in mixed doubles) and Mason Butler and Jordan Norman (far right) placed third in boy's doubles.
