Miss Frances Stevens And Fred C. Bunch Set Wedding Date

Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Stevens of Route Two, Leonard, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Frances Ruth, to Fred Charles Bunch.

The marriage will be solemnized at the Valley Creek Baptist Church Thursday, June 15, at 8:00 P.M. Rev. Jerry W. Lemon will perform the ceremony.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred A. Bunch of Leonard.

The bride-elect is a 1961 graduate of Leonard High School. Mr. Bunch is a 1960 graduate of Leonard High School and a student at East Texas State College, Commerce.

No formal invitations will be mailed. Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to attend the wedding.

The couple will make their home in Leonard.

Wedding Shower Fri. For Jack Mincheys

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Minchey were honored with a wedding shower Friday, June 2, in the home of Mrs. Floyd Green. Many beautiful anda useful gifts were received by the couple.

Punch and cake squares were served to the following guests: Mrs. Lois Wright, Mrs. Billy Treadway and Jo Edna, Mrs. Estalee Wilkerson, Mrs. Jack Sheridan, Mrs. Ben Hall, Mrs. Dessie Simpson, Mrs. Evelyn Dixon, Mrs. Jimmy Smith and Trenia, Mrs. Hurble McKinney, Mrs. Aaron Williams and Miss Brenda Hallmark.

Co-hostesses were Mrs. Ray T. Sudderth and Mrs. Thelma Jo Thompson.

Sgt. Joe L. Blanton Completes Course at Fort Gordon, Ga.

Army Staff Sergeant Joe L. Blanton, 25, whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. George E. Blanton live in Leonard, Tex., completed the missile site security course The Provost Marshall General's School, Fort Gordon, Ga., May 26.

Sergeant Blanton received two weeks of training in alarm and communication systems, personnel identification and damage control measures.

The Sergeant entered the Army in February 1953 and has served in Canada.
