Perry Morris Elected Head Coach-Principal Tom Goza Named Elementary Principal

Perry Morris, Leonard Elementary Principal, was elected High School Principal and Head Coach by the school trustees after they accepted the resignation of Hobart Lytal Monday night. Mr. Lytal has accepted a coaching position with Greenville High School.

Tom Goza, who has taught in Leonard High School the past year, will succeed Mr. Morris as Elementary Principal. He will also coach the Pee Wee Football team and the Girls Basketball team.

Mr. Morris was assistant football coach and high school baseball coach this past term in addition to his principal and teaching duties. He is a graduate of Farmersville High School and got his degree at Austin College at Sherman.

Sunday School Class Sponsors Bake Sale

The Joy Sunday School Class of the First Methodist Church is sponsoring a bake sale Saturday, May 27.

The sale will begin at 9 A.M. at Dillon Insurance office on the west side of the square.

Everyone is invited to shop for good food at this sale.

Leonard Quartet To Sing At Celeste Baptist Church

A quartet from the First Baptist Church will sing Saturday night during the week-end revival at the First Baptist Church in Celeste. The quartet is composed of Nat Alexander, Homer Evans, W. M. McBroom and Perry Morris. Mrs. Bill Kent will be piano accompanist.

The revival will be conducted by Daniel Vestal, young son of Evangelist Dan Vestal.

The public is invited.

Firemen's Memorial Services Sunday At Methodist Church

The Leonard Volunteer Firemen's Memorial service in honor of the late Guy Christian and Gabe Brister, Jr. will be held Sunday, May 28, 1961 at 7:30 p.m. in First Methodist Church in Leonard with other churches in Leonard participating.

The public is invited.
