Long list of college grads from Leonard

May 19, 2011 - Several past and present Leonard residents graduated with college degrees this last week at area universities.

Paige Adelmann (LHS class of 2007), the daughter of John and Lisa Adelmann, received a Bachelor of Science degree in history from Texas Women's University. She is returning to TWU in the fall to pursue her master's in business administration.

Meg Driscoll (LHS class of 2007) received her achelor's degree in communication from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She is the daughter of Scott and Margaret Driscoll of Melissa, formerly of Leonard.

Meredith Hodge (LHS class of 2006) graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. She is the daughter of Connie Pickering of Archbold, Ohio, and Paul Hodge of Bonham.

The Inge family celebrated two graduations with mother, Therese, earning her master's degree in nursing administration and daughter, Ashley (LHS class of 2006), earning her doctorate in physical therapy from Texas Women's University - Houston.

Five LHS graduates earned degrees from Texas A&M University - Commerce. Angie McNear Freeman (LHS class of 1999) and Rachel Ramer (LHS class of 2007) both earned a Bachelor of Science in math and plan to teach. Freeman is certified to teach fourth through eighth and Ramer received a secondary certification. Matthew Scott (LHS class of 2007) received a Bachelor of Science in social studies with teaching certification. Blake Winslow (LHS class of 2004)received a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology with certification to teach. David Akers (LHS class of 2007) earned a bachelor's degree in political science and history.

Leonard resident Shelley Perkins and Alishia London Whitworth (LHS class of 2007) graduated from the nursing program at Grayson County College and are now Registered Nurses.

Jeremy Brannon (LHS class of 2007) earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the Univerisity of Louisiana - LaFayette.

James Palmer (former LHS student) received his Master's of Science degree in physics from Georgia Tech.
