May 19, 2011 - Saturday night, May 7th, marked the 10-year anniversary celebration for the Creative Arts Center in Bonham. The beautiful garden at the ranch of Bob and Kay Carrel made a perfect setting for the Shrimp Peel Celebration.

Shrimp, festive beads, and lively music kicked off a spectacular evening of fun and great food. Folks from all over gathered to pay tribute to the Creative Arts Center and its effect on Fannin County and the City of Bonham.

Executive Director, Barbara Reeves, stated, "The Creative Arts Center would just be another building, if it were not for the support of the many volunteers we have. The people are the driving force for the Center. We have a slogan which is, "The Creative Arts Center is the place to be...and we have a place for you." Reeves continued by saying, "we live by this motto every day".

The CAC has a place for everybody and wants everyone to be a part of changing lives through art, music, performing arts, educational classes, exhibits, and their many other programs. The entire evening was underwritten. Every dollar we received during the fabulous evening will go directly to CAC programs. The night was filled with laughter, fun, food, and great comradery.

Thanks to everyone who came or made a donation. You are making a difference!
