- A Leonard officer assisted Fannin County on April 18 at 5:30 p.m. after a deputy had stopped a vehicle following a pursuit and requested a backup officer. The deputy was north of Trenton, but no Trenton officer was on duty. While in route, the Leonard officer observed via radio traffic that the deputy was not responding to dispatch. Upon arrival, it was determined that the deputy's radio was not working properly and he was okay.
- The manager of a Leonard business flagged down an officer on April 19 at 6:30 p.m. after a car had backed into a storage building belonging to the business and left the scene. The officer located the driver, who advised that she had hit the building, but not hard and didn't think much damage had been done. The officer took the driver back to the business and had her exchange information with the manager. She was also cited for unsafe backing.
- An officer on routine patrol observed a vehicle in a no parking area at Leonard City Park on April 20 at 6:30 p.m. and went to investigate. The officer observed the vehicle to be unoccupied, but saw four offenders running from a nearby empty business that has been subject to vandalism and theft. The officer made all four stop and asked what they were doing. They all stated they were inside looking around and hanging out. The officer asked if any of them had permission to be in the building, and none said they did. The four were advised that charges would be filed against them for burglary of a building. Three of those involved were juveniles and their parents were contacted to pick them up.
- A Leonard officer assisted a deputy on April 21 after an unclothed subject was running down a county road between Trenton and Leonard. The officers responding were unable to locate the subject.
- Fannin County Sheriff's Office contacted Leonard police on April 19 after they had received multiple 911 calls from a non-active cell phone located at the intersection of Mulberry and Poplar Streets. The officers determined it was a child in the Pre-K building making the calls, where he claimed to hear gun shots and used expletives while talking to dispatch. An officer spoke with the child's mother, who advised the phone had no service. The officer explained that cell phones with no service can still make emergency calls, and the mother advised she would take care of the problem.
- The pastor at a local church contacted police on April 22 after a resident had come to service intoxicated and was causing problems and cursing. The officer made contact with the man and asked him to step outside, which made the man upset, but he complied. Once outside, the officer placed the man in custody and transported him to Fannin County Jail for public intoxication.
- Officers investigated an attempted suicide on April 22 at 8 p.m. Reports show that a female resident took between 10 and 20 Trazodone, a medicine used to treat depression, after an argument with her boyfriend. The young woman was taken to a Greenville hospital for treatment.
