April 28, 2011 - Cody Layne Smallwood is the 17-year-old son of Ron and Betty Dill. He is a member of First Baptist Church in Leonard and has attended Leonard schools four years. His activities/accomplishments while in LISD are track three years, golf two years, baseball one year, marching band one year and geocaching with Coach Connelly.
Some of Cody's favorite things are the following: food, chicken enchiladas; drink, Gatorade; color, red; place, Falls Creek; movie, Remember the Titans; actor, Jonah Hill; actress, Angelina Jolie; athlete, Jason Kidd; team, Dallas Cowboys; song, Comin' Home by P. Diddy; persons, Bailey Ainsworth and Angela Lewis; book, Never Die Easy and sports, football and baseball.
His favorite memories at LHS are spirit week and prom. Giving his advice to underclassmen, he said, "Only God can judge you." His favorite free time activity is playing basketball with friends.
If Cody could do anything he would save someone's life. If he could change anything he would change his luck. His pet peeve is people asking the same question repeatedly.
After graduation, Cody plans to pursue a career in law enforcement in the U.S. Navy.
