April 14, 2011 - Billy Michael "Bubba" Martin is the 18-year-old son of Billy Wayne and Donna Martin. He has attended Leonard schools 12 years and is a member of the First Baptist Church in Leonard. He has been active in football four years, baseball four years and FFA three years.

As a member of Leonard's football team, he has received the honor of 1st Team All-District Middle Linebacker for two years; 1st Team All-Around Texomaland Middle Linebacker one year; 2nd Team All-Texomaland Middle Linebacker one year and LHS Linebacker of the Year. In baseball, he was named Most Valuable Player one year and Offensive Player of the Year in 2008.

Some of Billy's favorite things are as follows: food, steak and fried potatoes; drink, water with lemon; color, blue; place, baseball field; movie, 8 Seconds; athlete, Brett Favre; team, Texas Rangers; song, Just to See You Smile; people, his parents; book, Baseball Express; and sport, baseball.

His favorite memory at LHS is being on the 2010 playoff football team. His advice for underclassmen is to cherish what you have because it won't last forever. His favorite free time activity is hunting.

If Billy could do anything, he would play professional baseball. If he could change anything, he would make gas cheaper. Billy's pet peeve is slow drivers.

After graduation, he plans to attend Fire Academy and EMT school.
