April 7, 2011 - The Cowboy Disability Association, The Disabled Veterans Rodeo Association and The Disabled Rodeo Association, non-profit organizations, were created to provide year-round weekly rodeo camps that can be done for disabled veterans and/or disabled people within reasonable limitations of each persons disability. These camps are geared toward giving attendees hope and therefore decreasing the chances for depression. Any disabled person will be allowed to attend regardless if they are physically or mentally disabled.

Their motto is "Everyone Gets a Chance Regardless". That means anyone regardless of their disability either physical or mental will have the opportunity to participate in the events. In the past, the disabled have been excluded from these events.

There will be three to five day rodeo camps and will be open to the five-ninety nine year age group. There will be a rodeo in the summer for prizes and will have a separate Special rodeo with prizes for mentally disabled attendees. Then the finals will be held in the fall.

So far the association has 36 major sponsors and is seeking more. If you are interested in the program, for participation or sponsorship, call Vice President Jonathan or Toby McDonald at 903-486-4639 or email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
