Celeste Lions Club Sets Date For Annual Spring Carnival May 4th This Year

The Celeste Lions Club held its regular meeting March 23 with a good attendance, and as always an excellent meal.

Several plans were made for the Spring Carnival and the committees were assigned their duties for this project.

Plans were also made to apply a coat of linseed oil to the seats and walkways of the football stadium on Saturday, March 25. This was done to protect the stadium until we can give it a coat of paint.

The program committee, Lions Pruitt and Shields presented our former school superintendent, Garland Roach, who gave us a real talk on the value of service to others and our faithfulness to our tasks to others.

Our next meeting will be April 13 when Lions Herman Compton and Raymond Wade will serve as program committee. The meeting time has been changed to 7:30 p.m.
