March 31, 2011 - The LHS golf teams played one last pre-district tournament Monday at a cold, breezy Legacy Ridge Country Club in Bonham.
The Lady Tigers produced a third-place finish with a team score of 461. Shelby Zumwalt led the way with a score of 108, good enough for 10th place overall, and Jordan Riley was close behind at 110. Marissa Kuntz carded a 119, and Alex Brooks managed a 124. Rosa Gomez rounded out the scoring at 132.
LHS finished in ninth place on the boy's side. Justin Bennett shot a career-best 84 to lead the Tigers, with Bradley Dills chipping in an 88. Kade Speir (pictured) shot a 95, Storm Taylor came in at 98, Mitchell Vines managed a 107, and Cory Martin shot a 123.
The Tiger golf teams will compete Monday at Webb Hill Country Club during the District 12-2A golf championships.
