Burglary and assault charges increase on county's indictment list

March 31, 2011 - Criminal District Attorney (DA) Richard Glaser reports that on Thursday, March 24, the Grand Jury met to consider 39 cases, and all but two were true billed or indicted. So far in 2011, the Grand Jury has returned 110 true bills of indictment.

It is important to note that an indictment is a formal charge and should not - in itself - be considered an indication of guilt. All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

The law enforcement agencies filing the cases were Bonham Police Department - 15, Fannin County Sheriff's Office - 13, DA's Office - 8, and the Texas Department of Public Safety - 3.

The following people were indicted for the criminal offense and range of punishment indicated:

Daniel Glen Edwards, 30, of Leonard - Intoxicated assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury, a third degree felony.

Zackary Wayne Harlan, 23, of Leonard - Bail jumping and failure to appear on a felony, a third degree felony.

Tommy Ray Hodnett, 18, of Leonard - Burglary of a building, a state jail felony.

Kerry Doyle Beck, 20, of Whitewright - Manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group one weighing less than one gram.

Chad Nathan Brown, 24, of Whitewright - Three counts of burglary of a building, a state jail felony, and two counts of engaging in organized criminal activity, a third degree felony.

Dylan Lee Loftice, 17, of Whitewright - One count of burglary of a building, a state jail felony; and one count of engaging in organized criminal activity, a third degree felony.

Robrose Ray Mitchell, 26, of Whitewright - Burglary of a building, a state jail felony.

David Bruce Ping, 20, of Whitewright - Possession of a controlled substance in penalty group one weighing less than one gram, a state jail felony.

Dylan Ryan Allen, 18, of Bonham - Burglary of a building, a state jail felony.

Patrick O'Neal Davis, 26, of Bonham - Assault of a family/household member by impeding breath or circulation, a third degree felony.

William Wallace Frey, 44, of Bonham - Assault of a family/household member with previous conviction, a third degree felony.

Lewis Bret Hampton, 40, of Bonham - One count of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 3-4 weighing less than 28 grams in a drug-free zone, a third degree felony; one count of possession of a controlled substance in penalty group three weighing between 28-200 grams in a drug-free zone, unassigned felony; and one count of possession of a controlled substance in penalty group three weighing less than 28 grams in a drug-free zone, a state jail felony.

Bobby Lawrence Hill, 57, of Bonham - Theft of property valued less than $1500 with two or more previous convictions, a state jail felony.

Andy Joe Hilliard, 38, of Bonham - Burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit another felony, a first degree felony.

Victoria Jean Hutchins, 60, of Bonham - One count of fraudulent use or possession of identifying information with 50 or more items - enhanced, a first degree felony; and one count of theft of property valued between $1500-$20,000 from a non-profit organization - enhanced, a third degree felony carrying a penalty range of two to twenty years in confinement and a fine up to $10,000.

Steven Wayne Idell, 41, of Bonham - Aggravated assault of a date/family/household member with a weapon - enhanced, a first degree felony.

Ronnie Lynn Maples, 42, of Bonham - Bail jumping and failure to appear on a felony, a third degree felony.

Sharon Sue McRae, 45, of Bonham - Obstruction or retaliation, a third degree felony.

Andrea Denise Murria, 41, of Bonham - Bail jumping and failure to appear on a felony, a third degree felony.

Bobby Chad Ray, 36, of Bonham - One count of assault of a family member with the intent to restrict breath or circulation, with a previous conviction, a second degree felony; and one count of assault of a family/household member with a previous conviction, a third degree felony.

Bennette Finney, 45, of Honey Grove - Driving while intoxicated, third or more, a third degree felony carrying a penalty range of two to twenty years in confinement and a fine up to $10,000.

John Wayne Humburd, 21, of Sherman - One count of burglary of a building, a state jail felony; and one count of engaging in organized criminal activity, a third degree felony.

Jacob Douglas Monson, 30, of Sherman - One count of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group one weighing less than one gram in a drug-free zone, an unassigned felony; and one count of possession of a controlled substance in penalty group one weighing less than one gram in a drug-free zone; a third degree felony.

Tony Dee Baeza, Jr., 26, of Durant, Okla. - theft of property valued between $1500-$20,000, a state jail felony.

Patrick Mason Dancer, 18, of Durant, Okla. - Theft of property valued between $1500-$20,000, a state jail felony.

Travis Chris Gray, 42, of Fort Worth - Bail jumping and failure to appear on a felony - enhanced, a third degree felony carrying a penalty range of two to twenty years in confinement and a fine up to $10,000.

Unless otherwise noted above, the charges carry a fine up to $10,000 and the following confinement range: state jail felony - 180 days to two years; third degree felony - two to ten years; second degree felony - two to twenty years; and first degree felony - five to 99 years.

Next month Grand Jury is schedule to meet on Thursday, April 21, 2011, at 8:30 a.m.
