March 24, 2011 -Sixteen schools crowded the course Monday at windy Webb Hill Country Club for another Cooper/Caddo Mills invitational golf tournament, and the Leonard Tigers finished in the middle of the pack in eighth place at 383.
Cory Martin and Kade Speir led the way with scores of 92, followed by Bradley Dills with a card of 98. Justin Bennett finished at 101, and Storm Taylor rounded out the Tiger five at 109. Medalist scores included Jackson Bulloch and Michael St. George with scores of 114.
The Lady Tigers finished fifth of five official teams with their score of 497, just one shot back of fourth-place Caddo Mills at 496. Rosa Gomez led the way for the Lady Tigers with a score of 118, while Alex Brooks and Marissa Kuntz added rounds of 126. Jordan Riley was another shot back at 127.
Both Leonard squads will compete at Legacy Ridge Country Club in Bonham on March 28 before the district championships at Webb Hill on April 4.
