Robin Todd Honored On 3rd Birthday
Mrs. Jerry M. Todd honored her daughter, little Miss Robin Denise Todd with a party on her third birthday Saturday, March 11, from two until four p.m.
Balloons, gum, birthday hats and blowers were favors received by the twelve little guests.
Refreshments of cake, ice cream and punch were served to Becky Fuller, Annette Partridge, Jeff Berry, Billy Riddle, Jr., David Riddle, Jimmy Davis, Jannette McCarroll, Susan Grimes, Vicky Evans, Cathy Treadway, Lee and Lynn Pemberton.
It's A Girl
Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Burks of Dallas announce the birth of a daughter, Tammy Loraine, Tuesday, March 14, 1961 at Methodist Hospital in Dallas. She weighed six pounds and seven ounces.
Mrs. Burks is the former Miss Barbara Evans of Leonard. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Evans are maternal grandparents.
Farmers Barbecue, Insecticide Meet Thursday, March 30
All farmers in this area are invited to attend a barbecue and insecticide meeting Thursday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria, sponsored by Leonard Chamber of Commerce.
Rex Weaver, W. C. Griffitt, Frank Crawford and Bob Millsap are the committee making final arrangements for the affair.
There will be a speaker to discuss insecticides and films will be shown.
Boyd Greens Will Live In Euless
Miss Elaine Skinner of Euless and Boyd Green of Irving, were married at 8 P.M. February 24 in the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Skinner of Euless. Rev. Clayton Lewis of Waco officiated at the double-ring, candle-light ceremony.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Green of Leonard. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Brinkley are grandparents.
Matron of honor was the bride's sister, Mrs. Carol Pinson of Dallas. Wayne Montgomery of Irving was the best man.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her street-length gown was styled with a white lace bodice and a skirt of white silk organza over taffeta. She wore a strand of pearls and carried a white orchid on a white Bible.
Music was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Herman Stephens of Dallas.
House party members at the reception in the Skinnre home were Mrs. Pauling Huggins, of Dallas, the bride's aunt, Miss Maxine Maynard and Miss Helen Attaway.
The couple will live at 408 Freestone Drive, Euless. The bride wore a black and white two-piece suit with black patent accessories and a white orchid corsage on the wedding trip.
The bride is a graduate of Lawrence D. Bell High School and attended Arlington State College. The bridegroom graduated from Leonard High School.
