Hogs over 50 pounds were allowed to be taken to Windom and sold. The receipts were then brought in to the registration station where a running tally of hogs for each individual was recorded. Winning criteria was the person registering the most hogs. The objective of the tournament was to increase the harvest of feral hogs in the area and to reduce the damage they cause, as well as make information available regarding methods of control.
