March 10, 2011 - On Saturday, March 5, the Leonard Lady Tigers track team competed in the Bonham Warrior Relays. The Lady Tigers are a young team this year, with the majority of the girls being freshmen and sophomores. They represented Leonard well.
The team members that placed are as follows: 100M Dash - Katelyn Womack 2nd; Melina Farber 6th; 400M Dash - Connie Guajardo 3rd; Brittany Cottle 4th; 100 Hurdles - Bailey Anderson 2nd; 300 Hurdles - Bailey Anderson 3rd; 200M Dash - Abbey Devincentis 2nd;Katy Gentry 6th; Mile - Taylor Conti 4th; 2 Mile - Taylor Conti 4th; Morgan Walton 5th; High Jump - Katelyn Womack 1st; Long Jump - Katelyn Womack 2nd
Other members of the team that competed in throwing events were Tara Howard, and Jasmine Heart. Riley Rushing competed in the high jump as well.
The Lady Tigers and Tigers will compete again Saturday, March 12 in the Avon Rice Relays in Emory.
