March 10, 2011 - The Leonard ISD school trustees met on Monday, March 7, at 6 p.m. in the Administration building to discuss the Texas Education Agency weather waiver that the district is filing due to the February snowstorms and subsequent school days that were canceled.
Superintendent Larry LaFavers explained to trustees that the waiver would be for four days in hopes the Memorial Day Holiday could be reinstated. However, the students would continue on the present extended hours until the end of Tier 1 classes or until they receive notice that the filed waiver has been approved.
The board also voted to adopt the TASB School Policy Update 89 and voted to adopt the textbook list as presented. The minutes and financial reports were approved as presented.
