March 3, 2011 - The Celeste FFA Agricultural Mechanics team entered four shop projects in the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Ag Mech contest on Feb. 23. Each project received a blue ribbon and competed in the overall agricultural mechanics competition.
Here are the results from the show:
- a smoker built by Tyler LaFavers, Dalton Childress, Brad Mayrell, Trey Moree and Devon Walden received a blue ribbon and won 3rd overall in its class.
- 16' utility trailer built by Tyler LaFavers, Dalton Childress, Brad Maxwell, Trey Moree and (Devon Waldon - not pictured) received a blue ribbon and won first place overall in its class.
- 10' utility trailer built by Caleb McCaslin, Trevor Daugherty, Scott Collida and Alisha Williford received a blue ribbon.
- 3-point hay fork build by Jake Thompson, Justin Bennett and Sam Chambliss received a blue ribbon and won second place overall in its class.
FFA member Carly Collida drew plans for the projects using Google Sketch-Up. She is not pictured.
The team will enter their projects in the Houston Stock Show and Rodeo Ag Mech contest on March 18-20.
