Extension Agent hosting Pesticide training and testing in Leonard

Feb. 3, 2011 - Fannin County residents interested in acquiring a Private Pesticide Applicators License will have the opportunity to take part in a training and test on April 19 at the Leonard Community Center at 118 West Collin Street (west side of the downtown square). Training will begin at 8 a.m. The training by Texas AgriLife Extension Agent, Roger Skipper should take roughly 3 to 4 hours. The test will be administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) representative. There is no cost for the training.

The license will cost $60 (paid to TDA) and is good for five years.

There are two manuals recommended for the training, which also serve as your reference material. These are available for $40 at the Fannin County Extension Office.
