Feb. 10, 2011 - The First Baptist Church of Leonard held a Super Bowl Party and Hot Wing Cookoff on Sunday, Feb. 6. Many church members worked up their best hot wing recipe and entered them in the contest to be judged by Bill Cureton, Pastor Denny Gorena and Daniel Price, pictured at right as they sample the spicy submissions.

The winners - announced during halftime - were as follows: (front) Leigh Barnes - first in mild category; (back, from left) Robert Miller - second in mild category, Jonathan Burgess - family won third in spicy category, Gayland Gilbert - second in spicy category and Randy St. George - first in spicy category and the Best Overall award. Not pictured is Shirley Chapman who placed third in the mild category. The Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburg Steelers 31-25 in Super Bowl XLV, held at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. This was the Packers fourth time to claim the Vince Lombardi Trophy. The game was watched by an estimated 110 million viewers across the globe, and attended by 103,219 people. While expected to break the Super Bowl attendance record of 103,985 set in 1980, it fell short by 766.
