One student per class per grade is nominated for this honor. Those chosen get to join LES Principal Brad Maxwell in the office for the saying of the "Pledge of Allegiance" and the "Pledge to the Texas flag" over the intercom. Each also receives a certificate, discount coupon to Jump N' Zone in McKinney or Jump N' Land in Sherman, star student sticker, pencil and their picture published in The Leonard Graphic and placed on the weekly message board. Students are encouraged to be on their best behavior, attend school regularly and to be on time to have this honorable opportunity.
