Hickory Creek revival services start Monday

Hickory Creek Baptist Church will be holding Revival services Monday through Wednesday, April 23 through 25 at 7 p.m. each night. Paul and Vanessa Cherry will be the evangelists for these special meetings.

June 23, 2011 - First Assembly of God in Leonard will host Vacation Bible School for children four to 12 years of age on Monday through Wednesday, June 27, 28 and 29. The special event will take place nightly from 6 to 8. All children are invited to attend.

The church is located on East Fannin Street across from Sonic and Dollar General.

June 16, 2011 - First Assembly of God in Leonard will host Vacation Bible School for children four to 12 years of age on Monday through Wednesday, June 27, 28 and 29. The special event will take place nightly fromfrom 6 to 8. All children are invited to attend.

The church is located on East Fannin Street (near the intersection with U.S. Highway 69), across from Sonic and Dollar General.

Cross Pointe hosting sports camp

June 9, 2011 - VBS - Sports Camp is being hosted by Cross Pointe Baptist Church on Saturday, June 18. It is from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. and will be for children from kindergarten to seventh grade. Bus transportation is available.

Police visit FCAL for National Police Week

May 26, 2011 - Teaching kids about public safety brought closure to National Police Week in Leonard this past Friday. Lt. Jeff Stapleton from the Royce City Police Department and deputies from the Fannin County Sheriff's Office volunteered their time to allow the students at First Christian of Leonard to ask all the questions they could think of. The highlight of the morning for the younger students was climbing through the patrol cars and seeing the lights and hearing the sirens.
